Sunday Splash At Capernwray 29th March

Spring is on it's way and that can only mean one thing!!! Yep, it's that time of year to dust off your fins, refresh your skills and get out exploring as the UK's diving season kicks in,

Our first aquatic adventure of the new dive season is being held at Capernwray's Jackdaw Quarry on Sunday 29th March and we'd love for you to join us.

Capernwray offers great visibility, numerous depth levels, plenty of wrecks and of course an abundance of fish, including the curious trout and the majestic sturgeon. Combine that with the great site facilities and you have the ingredients for a great days diving.

We will be arriving at Capernwray around 8:30am on Sunday 29th March and will be on hand all day to offer advice, logistics & assistance to ensure you get the most from your diving and have an enjoyable day.

This event is open to all certified Open Water divers and above, regardless of training agency.

Make sure you are best prepared by:

  • Refresh your diving skills by coming along to one of the Thursday evening pool sessions

  • Refresh your diving knowledge including emergency procedures, hand signals and safe diving practices.

  • Ensure your Cylinder, BCD & Regulators are in tiptop condition and have been serviced in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations.

  • Check drysuit seals and zips & lubricate as necessary.

  • Charge or change batteries in your dive computer, torch & camera

  • Check that your equipment fits and your over-indulgence during the winter hibernation hasn’t caused your equipment to shrink.

  • Put together a ‘Save A Dive’ kit, including spare mouthpieces, fin straps, mask straps, o-rings, clips etc.. & a basic tool kit

  • Review the location, entrance costs and facilities by visiting Capernwray’s website www.dive-site.co.uk

Don’t worry if you don’t have your own equipment as we are able to arrange full or partial kit hire for the day. Just let us know your requirements ahead of time.

If you'd like to join in and get your fins wet, then please get in touch.
